WHAT YOU WILL TRAIN ON

Situational Awareness

• Recognizing pre-incident indicators

• Parking lot situational awareness

• Big box store awareness (Walmart-type environments)

• Understanding your body’s stress response

• Verbal boundary setting

• Decision-making under pressure

Awareness comes before force.

Basic Firearm Safety

• The Four Universal Safety Rules

• Safe handling procedures

• Storage requirements under Maine law

• Transportation laws

• Responsible ownership mindset

• Range safety fundamentals

This course focuses on safe, lawful, responsible education.

Optional follow-on range opportunities will be discussed for those seeking continued training.

INSTRUCTORS

Cub Lewis – 82nd Airborne Veteran (B Co 1/508th Infantry)

Served in 82nd Airborne security assignments during presidential movements amid active anti-war protest environments and elevated sniper threat concerns. Later worked in protective security roles involving high-profile individuals and family security details.

Jason Wyman – Iraq War Combat Veteran

Served in a combat role in Iraq with operational experience in active threat environments and tactical decision-making under pressure.

Aaron Ames – Owner, AK Security

Professional security specialist with experience providing protective services for high-profile individuals and Jewish community security environments. Instructor, Protect Academy / 82nd Tactical.
